From Emily's point of view

In the past, Lucas had always prevented me from getting close to Owen, and that sometimes caused Owen to complain about it. 

However, this evening, to my surprise, Owen suggested, "You should spend more time with Lucas. I believe that he is feeling quite tired and could use some company." 

And, later, when I was telling Lucas his third bedtime story, he suddenly said, "Mom, I'm feeling sleepy. I want to go to sleep. You should also get some rest."
