Jared stood at the side-door of Xander's office, blanket in hand, waiting for me. I shifted and ran into his outstretched arms, he wrapped the blanket around me, holding me close to his chest. He stroked my hair in an effort to comfort me as I sobbed into his shirt.

“He said that he would have allowed me to carry out this plan if he knew about it, because he trusted me. What have I done, Jared?”
