Shay looked down at the fields below. She could see green as far as the eye could see. The road they had traveled looked like little more than a trail now.
She had slept little the night before, but had finally succumbed to her exhaustion and slept under a tree beside the road. She had been wakened by the soldiers and after a quick breakfast, they had continued their journey.
They had reached the foot of the Ischlo mountains during the day and after a short break had begun their climb making as good time as they possibly could.
