"You would..." She leaned out of the door and held her chest tight. Emerald corked her left brow at the young girl, before tearing her eyes away from her and returning her gaze to the pan.

"You would never believe who I just saw." The girl took some time off her speech to cough. Emerald sighed and cast her a short glance.

"Not if you tell me my dead husband is here to say hello." She held her spatula in her right hand and turned off the fire with the left.
