Feeling a bit lonely after Jace's departure, I decided to go downstairs. I called for a maid and asked her, "Excuse me, do you happen to know where Jace went ? He left in a hurry, and I'm not sure when he'll be back."

The maid whose name was Mia, looked at me with concern. "Oh, Mrs Scarlet, Mr Jace mentioned that he would go to a business event. He said he wouldn't be back early, possibly after midnight.
