The second I stepped out of the room, freeing myself from Ivar's hold and clutches, my fist clenched tightly, my eyes fixed on a spot, and my attention focused on where I was heading to search for my mate.

Last night, I was searching the streets, but there was a strong possibility that Astrid had been taken away from the pack, and what I was doing was useless.

I was willing to go to great lengths to find her. I understood that I didn't love her, but there was definitely no harm in trying.
