“Good morning, Mrs Henderson,” I greeted as we entered the room, my voice still soft from sleep but feeling more alive now.

Mrs Henderson turned to me with a warm smile. “Good morning, darling. Breakfast is ready, and the girls have been buzzing about their dresses.”

“We can tell,” Zach chuckled, taking a seat next to Joan, who immediately started telling him all about her plans for the dresses. Ella, on the other hand, waited patiently, her eyes wide as she watched me sit across from her.

“Mom,” Ella said softly, looking up at me through her long lashes. “Can we really choose the dresses ourselves?”
