A werewolf is not a Lycan. The distinction is that a Lycan can transform into a (larger version) of a wolf anytime it feels the urge. It is more powerful and frequently adheres to a pack.

They have better strength, reflexes, coordination, speed, agility, durability, endurance, and regenerative abilities to werewolves while in Lycan form, and can crawl past walls with ease and speed.

Silver cannot be used to kill them. A werewolf, on the other hand, can be killed by piercing the head or heart with silver implements.
