A knock on the door jolted me awake from my sleep as I quickly sat up, eyes going to the door.

“Come in.” I said, my voice rough with sleep as the door slowly pushed in and a woman walked in holding neatly folded clothes in her hands.

“The king asked me to give you these, he wants you in his office as soon as you’re done dressing,” she said, dropping the clothes on the bed.

“Thanks,” I whispered as I stood up,

“I’ll be waiting for you outside the door,” she said, giving me a bow and my eyes couldn’t help but widen in shock.
