Jarvis Mason was involved in a car accident on his way to marry me and woke up with amnesia.
Then, he fell hopelessly in love with the girl who had helped called the 911, pledging that he would marry no one else.
He set off fireworks across the city, declared his love publicly on Twitter, and even planted her favorite roses in the Mason family’s garden. In this grand display of devotion, everyone forgot about me.
I refused to give up, pursuing Jarvis relentlessly, terrified that when his memory returned, he would be heartbroken --- "Evie, don’t you remember you promised to wait for me to marry you?"
Later, they openly embraced and kissed at my birthday party.
So, I dutifully followed my parents’ wishes and married his brother, Nathan Mason. Then, Jarvis’s memory came flooding back.
On the wedding night, he knelt outside our bedroom, crying out in anguish, "Nathan! Give Evie back to me! Please, give her back!"
Nathan, marked with love bites on his neck, slowly opened the door and said with irritation, "Aren’t you a renowned actor? Aren’t you going to keep up the pretense?"
