Valerie Dorah Victor couldn't shift on her thirteenth birthday and ever since then, she has been hated and mistreated at her Pack.

Valerie is an orphan, as well as her elder brother and sister and after her parents' death, she gets adopted by her father's sister who lives in the same Pack.

Valerie's dad was the Pack's Beta so after his death, his sister mate automatically becomes the beta and together, they bring up Valerie and her elder siblings.

Immediately sh hits fifteen and can't shift, she loses all hope and gets tired of being the Pack's slave. Moreso, she hears a voice telling her to go out there and seek for answers and that's when she decides to escape from the Silverstone Moon Pack.

After crossing the Pack's territory, she walks further into the forest and before she could go any further, she spots an ocean which is now in another Pack and she excitedly walks towards the water.

Valerie dips her feet into it and before she knows it, she's instinctively swimming towards the centre and the deeper end of the ocean. She feels great and carefree, but not until she feels someone grabbing her and the person swims to the shore with her as she finally loses consciousness.

Upon coming back to life, the girl who just saved her questions her actions, insinuating that Valerie wanted to end her life but she insists that she didn't have such intentions whatsoever.

Valerie and Evie become friends and they form a pack of three with Evie's sister Zelia. They work hard together until Evie gets kidnapped and Zelia and Valerie make an attempt to run after the kidnappers and before they know it, they're inside Evie's old pack, the Riverside Moon Pack.
