Her fate starts with the protagonist Afraah, who is an eighteen-year-old girl that lives with her stepmother, her three step-siblings, and her biological brother who is a cancer patient. After she finished high school her stepmom couldn’t afford both her school fees and Khalil’s hospital fees, she had to forsake her college for Khalil to have good medication. She had to get a job to buy some minor requirements for Khalil as her stepmom was always complaining about how his medicine cost a lot despite buying only one medicine for him. She had to get two jobs to buy an oxygen tube for Khalil. She works at a bakery by sunrise and by sunset she works at the grocery store.
Her stepmother is very unfair sometimes she feels like her stepmother has no heart as she always blackmails her by using Khalil's medication. She always tries to make her feel like she’s not a part of the family whereas she is the firstborn of my father.
Soon after Khalil got discharged, she meets a handsome young man Rayan, Rayan is from a wealthy family, and he has no worries in life except for the fact that he has a son who is diagnosed with a heart disorder, he searched for donors but couldn't find one, his son is his last hope of living, he couldn't afford to lose his son.
